District 9 is a thriving area with a variety of small to medium size businesses and a diverse mix of neighborhoods. We need to look at the gaps residents and business owners are facing in terms of access to services, like public transportation, the ability to find affordable housing and easing the backlog permitting process. When we talk about growth, we need to think about the needs of the community and the ability to improve people's lives.
There are many areas of opportunity to improve our community's existing infrastructure. There are many places in need of major repair and development to better serve residents across District 9. Housing is a vital need throughout Louisville, and our District has the opportunity to develop in a responsible manner.
I pledge to work hard to improve the lives of residents - both current and future - by supporting equitable development projects that are in the best interest of our community.
